You want something that’s going to create the illusion of small and wide. The way the peplum is cut is that it kicks out at the hip, giving you just what you need to make the waist look smaller ... then it creates this illusion of [a] smaller waist and hips."

Target + Neiman Marcus + 24 CFDA Designers = The Ultimate Christmas List

We all dream of being decked out in the latest and greatest up-and-coming designers, but often times our wallets keep us on somewhat of a sartorial diet. Well, not anymore. Thanks to a new collaboration between Neiman Marcus and Target, we may finally be the proud owners of those luxe labels we’ve all dreamed of sporting.


Today, luxury chain Neiman Marcus and affordable mega-store Target announced their collaboration on a winter holiday collection featuring 24 CFDA designers. According to WWD, on December 1, shoppers will be able to browse the 50-piece collection at 1,736 Target stores and 42 Neiman Marcus stores, as well as on both companies' respective websites.


The CFDA spread will offer products ranging from $7.99 to $499.99, with most products costing less than $60. Each designer will create between one and three pieces, ranging from men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel to sporting goods, home décor, and pet and electronic accessories. (WWD)

Bridal on a Budget

I recently got married and was not willing to pay very much for a dress. Plus I wasn't really looking for something too bridally. My suggestion for brides to be is to search for evening gowns at places like Nordstrom, Saks, or Cache and find them in a white, cream or ivory color. They will be fabulous gowns and probably under $500.

Also, VERY IMPORTANT, if you find a dress you love but it's out of your range, try Recycled Bride which has gently used dresses and you can easily search for the exact style you want.

The Perfect Shorts for the Hourglass

I have trouble finding shorts for my figure. I feel like most shorts make my waist look bigger. These shorts are perfect for the hourglass shape because they sit at the smallest part of your waist and you can wear a fitted top tucked in and either flats or wedges for a cute summer outfit.
